Being Calm is to be aware of the ego’s sensations and consciously chose to be that way…you can Be calm in the middle of a crazy situation. But when we are asked to “keep” calm…things are different :)!! it seems that our self is forced to an unnatural state and it is almost as we feel not respected! so we usually REACT doing the opposite: losing it.
What can help is to not ACCUMULATE ; little bothering , teasing stuff that we usually swallow…and think they won’t affect us. Being aware , in the present moment , of what is annoying us, helps to get in touch with our breathing and ….we can direct our ENERGY/RAGE to boost our life for better things!
