P-TET (pedriatic- thrombosis educational tool)was presented for the first time in Kyoto. And was received with enthusiasm 🙂 by several nurses at the ISTH congress.
It is a low cost educational tool for all health care professionals and patients, mostly children to explain about several domains in managing treatment in a thrombotic event .
Learning about body’s functions especially when it is about vascular system, blood functioning in clotting and flowing again are very important for patients. Bleedings has to be understood, prevented and treated in the proper way too. My experience with HEMOACTION shown me that images can indeed facilitate the understanding of a blood clotting disorder and help families with their kids to learn and feel more confident about their condition and how to cope with it.
