Hemophilia World Congress, 2008 :Istanbul

May 9, 2008

ISTANBUL, Turkey

BLUE MOSQUE at sunset

Istanbul has the flavour of Bursa’s juicy and smelly peaches that I used to eat at the beach….i was 7 !

my family (mom, dad, my sister and I) lived in that beautiful city for 5 years. Part of my childhood, an important part , i lived listening to the Muezzin call, eating Bureks (so tasty)…my first swim in the Black sea,

a strange river fish called KalKan (button fish) that my mom use to prepare…my first birthday party with numbered gifts for all my friends (tombola), the big Souk and the marvellous handcrafts in leather, carpets…

I am coming back ! after so many years to give two oral presentations in the Pre Congress of Hemophilia Int. Congress….it’s great.

I’m too emotional maybe…but I am a woman who travelled so much, moved from country to another…a nomad. I honoured each country that marked me..and made me the way I am.

A collage, a patchwork.
