now, what a lot of people don´t know is: that a bleeding can occur INSIDE a joint or inside your body! you can´t see the blood , but you feel things like heat in the place which is swollen, pain,sometimes itchiness, redness….or you see blood in the urine or feces.

AGORA , MUITA GENTE NÃO SABE QUE EXISTEM SANGRAMENTOS INTERNOS. o SANGUE NÃO APARECE SAINDO DA PELE…MÁS EXISTEM SINAIS: INCHAÇO, VERMELHIDÃO, DOR, AS VEZES COCEIRA E, A COR VERMELHA OU ESCURA DA URINA E DAS FEZES!

Igor ´s challenge / O desafio de Igor

Igor is very funny…he is with us at the Hemophilia Center of Sao paulo  from the day he was borned.

At first he was afraid of needles , natural… and then little by little he was trained by our nurse  Eliane and he got more confidence by playing with the Flash cards HEMOACTION (this card is number 27) and he smiled when I asked him: “ah ..Igor is in this phase now??” NOWADAYS…THINGS  are smoother..he likes to come to the Center and we wellcome him! Bravo Igor.:)

No começo Igor tinha muito medo de tudo, claro que de agulhas também. Ficava muito grudado na mamãe Sylvia…ele é muito engraçado, esperto…e vai para escolinha! Fomos fazendo nosso trabalho de conscientização e aprendizagem la no centro de hemofilia: com a Eliane e a equipe ele foi se acostumando as agulhas de auto-infusão de fator e aos poucos…se soltando e ficando feliz. Parabéns!

O QUE INTENTAR CONSEGUIR? EXPLICAR, EDUCAR PARA ENTENDER O QUE É hemofilia: UMA LENTIDÃO na hora de coagular, e a formação de um coágulo friável….que não ajuda parar de sangrar! algo está faltando: o fator 8 ou 9 ou o VII recombinante para quem tem inibidores no sangue.

o tampão das plaquetas (como um tampão de pia) resolve e ajuda a coagular no caso de ferimentos bem leves.

Afraid= worried or anxious about something…

One of the moment that can frightens a kid , generally babies and kids until their 7 is when they are afraid of needles (some adults are still afraid too! ) One tip is to you spread some anaestesic ointment in the place where you are going to receive the needle minutes before.

Don’t be too afraid of needles, you need to learn how to do your replacement factor therapy as soon as you can…it is much easier after that. You can be independant!!

After all theses travels  AND MEETING and remembering all the young people with hemophilia in many places of the world…I picked up this old drawing of a young teenager (now adult) at my center.

Their message : “HEMOPHILIA CAN SAVE, I can myself with

hemophilia save people.!”

I have talked to many young people in the Jordan third CAMP and I found that they have this spirit too:

“WE CAN DO , WE CAN HELP OTHERS…IT IS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT OUR PROBLEMS, OUR LIMITATIONS!”

This drawing is their VOICE too: “LET US BE MEN, let us show you that we can live and give too!”

Rodei o mundo e falei com muitos, estive com eles, : quem tem uma disfunção quer AJUDAR, SENTIR-SE PARTE DA SOCIEDADE, SER DIGNO E DIGNIFICAR QUEM ESTA DE SEU LADO.

E digo mais: a rede, é a REDE DE NOSSO TRABALHO NA REDE DA INTERNET TAMBÉM!!!

One of the moment of the Symposium in Amman was to gather parents, their kids and professionals in hemophilia to ask questions, meet with each other and have a big lunch together. So, I introduced the HEMOACTION , flash card game and we had so much fun! images have a universal language ——Um dos momentos do Simpósio foi o encontro entre profissionais da área com os pais e seus filhos. Apresentei o jogo do ‘mico’ com as cartas do HEMOAÇÃO e todos jogaram, claro que evitando de ficar com a  carta do ‘mêdo do fator’¡rs

Filia= amor
Conclusão : amor ao sangue

Sempre gostei de conhecer a origem das palavras. E, quando me deparei com o mundo da Hemofilia, quis adentrar o significado da própria palavra HEMOFILIA que surgiu como tal em 1828!

Más, naquele ano, os cientistas ainda não tinham descoberto que o TRATAMENTO PARA OS SANGRAMENTOS SERíA REPOR O FATOR que falta extraíndo-o do próprio sangue humano! (na maioría dos fatores comprados e usados aqui na America Latina).

aí me perguntei: cómo assim? não parece estranho? Cómo colocar o nome AMOR AO SANGUE se você ainda nem sabe que depende do Sangue para repôr o que falta no teu?
vocês tem que saber que no começo a hemofilia era chamada de Haemorraphilia = amor ao sangramento ! o comúm não sería alguém gostar de sangrar…por que chamar então HEMOFILIA  esta disfunção da coagulação?

Eu acho que foi um ato falho! e que no fundo hemo-filia quer dizer o seguinte para o portador da disfunção: você tem que se Amar, amar seu próprio sangue, saber se cuidar. E isso  significa nao ter medo de enfrentar a vida e os seus desafíos.
significa fazer fisioterapía, aprender o máximo na escola, sobre a disfunção, aprender a viver da melhor maneira possível.
